What is Naturopathic Medicine?

delhi-servicesNaturopathic medicine is a holistic and individualised approach to health care that is safe, gentle and effective.  Incorporating knowledge substantiated by thousands of years of experience and incorporating modern scientific research, Naturopathic doctors use natural treatments to support and stimulate the body’s healing abilities.

Prevention is a priority in Naturopathic medicine. When disease is present, the focus of Naturopathic treatment will address the underlying cause of illness while managing symptoms. It is for this reason that Naturopathic and conventional medicines can be used in a complementary way to treat many health concerns.

Naturopathic doctors consider all aspects of a person’s life when diagnosing and developing a treatment plan, including physical, mental and emotional states.

Lifestyle counseling is essential in the practice of Naturopathic medicine and Naturopathic doctors are the most rigorously trained primary healthcare providers providing lifestyle medicine.

Lab Testing

Outside of the typical OHIP covered tests there are number of tests that are offered as a part of my Naturopathic practice.  These tests can include Food Sensitivity Testing, Digestive Function Testing, Nutritional Profiling, and Heavy Metal Toxicity Tests.
